ProRangers in First Responder Training

Valley Forge National Historical Park is hosting a weekend First Responder course for the ProRangers. The course is taught by Ranger John Waterman, a paramedic and fantastic instructor. The course is designed to teach First Responders advanced first aid techniques. They will learn how to sustain life, prevent further injuries and the consequences of further injury until more advanced medical personnel arrive. This course includes the newest First Aid & CPR Guidelines (2010) and meets Federal regulations and a variety of provincial/territorial requirements for Advanced First Aid. First Responder certification is valid for 3 years and includes CPR Level HCP and Automated External Defibrillation.

The ProRangers are doing very well in the class and will take their National Certification test soon.

ProRanger!
