SLETP
Trainees from the Seasonal Law Enforcement Training Program (SLETP) at Temple University spent a better part of a week learning defensive tactics as well as arrest techniques. We were very fortunate to have an instructor from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Program (FLETC) and an instructor Ranger from Independence come down to share their knowledge. Their knowledge, dedication and willingness to help the trainees have made the training experience truly invaluable. Although there were many moments of pain and suffering, we recognize at the end that it was without good cause; “train hard, fight hard.” Grueling days of demanding tactics in conjunction with physical training has not only prepared us to fight for our lives, but it has also given us a chance to see a glimpse of what FLETC is all about. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that it would be an honor to have the instructors back again.
