Week 3 is complete. This week I got to learn a lot about the First Amendment and public demonstrations.
This week there were some demonstrations in Old San Juan. Although they weren't on park property there is a history of demonstrators targeting the park (stealing flags, sit ins, ect.). Because of this we were on alert for any potential occurrences.
This experience gave me a good look at how these types of situations are handled from a law enforcement standpoint. I also got a rundown of how First Amendment issues apply to the site.
Overall an eventful week.
